He’s from 1892 England, she’s in a small library in 2017. And that's just the start of their troubles.
Emme never meant to stay in Maine. She'd come only to find a librarian for her Gram's library, a custodian for the collection of mysterious books she'd promised to protect. On a dark, wintery night, alone in the library, she takes her first glance into one of the antique novels and finds herself transported to 1892 England staring into the eyes of handsome and dashing hero Jack Ridgewell. As each chapter passes she learns you can truly fall in love with a character in a book, that book boyfriends are real and Emme must choose between the real world, and his.
When the last page is read he's gone and Emme feels the cold loneliness of lost love. Will she find Jack again, or will their love be forever lost? The answer lies within the pages…
My “desk” isn’t really what you would refer to as your typical workspace. I write wherever I feel like it. Usually that is my couch, or my kitchen table. My actual desk is, at the moment, filled with schoolwork and kid stuff. I share my PC with my two daughters.
So when inspiration hits, I rely on my trusty Dell laptop. I love that I can take it anywhere with me. Today, for this blog post, I am writing at my kitchen table. I’ve got my writing notebook for taking notes, since I’m currently in the stage of research for book two of The Librarian Chronicles. The Archivist will take place in 14th century Scotland, so research is key. I also have my favorite pen for notetaking and a copy of The Librarian. I tend to reread my book so that I don’t miss out anything crucial about the world of Librarian’s. Time-travel can be tricky so you don’t want to skip anything important.
I also have my favorite noise-cancelling headphones, so I can listen to my music without interruption.
And let’s not forget the awesome sticker on my laptop that shows how much of a Potterhead I am.
That’s if for today! I hope you have enjoyed taking a look at my desk. Look out for book two coming in 2018!
